On Feb. 12, 2018 6 members of the Northwest Z club gathered met at the World of Speed for Cars and Coffee and followed up with a great cruise destined for Bald Peak State Park led by Reuel. The weather was favorable for the first cruise of the year, slightly brisk but sunny and clear. Reuel led the group on an impromptu route until reaching Bald Peak State Park which enjoys fantastic views of the surrounding area. Following the park the group headed to the Cruise In Country Diner for lunch. Cruise In provides a great “car” atmosphere with an abundance of photographs of both vintage and modern day cars along with an assortment of license plates from around the country. After lunch, everyone went to visit club members Roger and Tara. While the gang took a glimpse at the progress of Rogers’ 7 year project Z. It is getting close to “start up time” for his project. After enjoying the superb workmanship of the project and kicking the tires around for a bit, the group went their separate ways. Thanks goes to Reuel for putting together this short cruise. The cruise made for an enjoyable day for everyone who participated.
